A splendid faience bowl with stunning colour and form, displaying wonderful shades of aqua, turquoise and robin's egg blue. The underside shows proof of how such bowls were put on top of each other during the firing process.
Late to Ptolemaic Period, circa 600-30 B.C.
Diameter 9 cm, height 4.5 cm.
Dutch private collection; previously with Artemis Gallery, Colorado; previously with Sands of Time Ancient Art, Washington.
Intact with a very small amount of staining and discoloration; the bottom with remnants of other material, probably from the moment when the bowl was in the kiln, and roughness to small parts of the base, as shown.
